Once upon a time, I was playing Odyssey and someone died and I had feels, loads of, you know how it is... So, as per usual, I wrote some angst to be sad about something else, then I had a friend beta read it and then I tired to post it on tumblr... except (as usual) the app hates me and lagged twice, hence why my intro is very done and very salty, as you'll see under.

Fuck it I’m not writing a second intro to this, I got inspired by recent ac odysseg feels. Beware he angst. Its short. Nobody is ever named so not rly spoilery. Im so angry at tumblr mobile rn I want to throw my phone so I hope at least one person other than me is gonna reblog it bc I’m fucking done with nobody giving a fuck™.

Her body, laying on the ground, back pressed against the cold marble column. The last guard falling on the floor as he pulled his blade out of their body. Her, calling her name as she turned to her.

Nothing but silence to answer her call.

Him, shouting as his gaze followed her to the smaller form laying on the ground.

Nothing but silence to answer his shouts.

Her, kneeling beside the child, taking her in her arm, tearing up as she whispered her name. Him, staring in shock, trembling ever so slightly, tears welling up in his eyes.

Their heart; breaking, shattering in pieces, reduced to dust at the sight of their friend, their protégée, their little sister. Their child.

A prayer; muttered under his breath, an old gift given back to its rightful owner. His arms wrapped around them, a kiss; pressed on top of the child’s head.

Tears, rolling down their cheeks, sobs echoing the room as she cried in his arms, rocking her gently in her arms.

A family, forever broken. Memories of happier times, forever shrouded in grief. A smile, faded forever.

A life, forever gone.

“Please forgive me.”
