Part 1

Here’s the second part of this serie of requests for Danganronpa’s Theater AU! For simplicity’s sake, I have chosen to only do half of the casting since there would be too many people to write for otherwise. I won’t repost the casting list here, but if you wish to see the whole of it, go check out @starring-danganronpa, which the the blog this AU originates from, and don’t forget to give ‘em some love, they deserve it. Now, wihtout further ado…

---------------------------------------------------

About a week after the auditions, the roles were to be announced and everyone was impatiently waiting for the list to be hanged on the announcement board of the school. Well, everyone if by everyone you mean every single theater nerd of the school, that is...
Yasuhiro: Aladdin
He had completely forgot about this, in all honesty. It’s one of the things that just happen in Hiro’s life and soon after he just forgets since there is already something else on his mind. So when the casting call was out, he didn’t even bother to check it at all and, hadn’t it been for Leon asking him if he was proud of himself, he most likely would have never known he was casted at all. As soon as he learnt it, he went into panic mode. No way he would be able to do this! All the people that will look at him! He can’t even remember his own name, how on Earth will he memorize his lines! Then he remembered what the spirit told him. They had chosen him. It was his destiny. Under no circumstances must he disobey them! In the end, the clairvoyant had no choice but to accept his fate as the lead for the musical and do his best.
Asahina: Jasmine
Hina. is. speed. She’s super excited and proud and happy and all that jazz. She gets all jumpy, almost screaming of joy, a proud smile plastered on her lips. She doesn’t really put it in the face of those who weren’t chosen though, since, even if she’s competitive, she has a good sportsmanship (it’s vital for anyone doing competitions in any sport). She’s also super happy that Sakura is playing one of Jasmine’s lady in waiting because it means she’ll get to be on stage with her (I think? I never watched the musical, sadly, so I can only infer this).
Gundam: Genie
With this one, you can be sure you’re never going to hear the end of it. Gundam is that one guy that keeps boasting about being casted because he’s just so proud of this there is no way he won’t tell everyone. When he saw the casting sheet he just… “AHAHAHAHA ONCE AGAIN THE GREAT GUNDAM TANAKA DEFEATED HIS ENEMIES AND SHOWED THE TRUE EXTENT OF HIS POWERS THROUGH SINGING!” Don’t ask me what he truly means by that though, I’m pretty sure he’s not even sure himself. So yeah, Gundam is very, very about his role.
Korekiyo: Jafar
Kiyo is the chillest motherhecker about that. When he sees the casting call he just has that small satisfied smile of his and if anyone asks him about how he feels about it he’s just going to reply something about how it’s another way for him to experience humanity’s beauty through art.
Ishimaru: The Sultan
He’s very solemn about it, almost emotional I’d say. One could even think he’s about to make some sort of speech to thank everyone. As soon as Ishimaru knows he’s going to play the Sultan, he’s learning all his lines and songs, because, you know, he’s Taka.
Hiyoko: Iago

Hiyoko is very salty. How come she doesn’t have the leading role? How dare! She probably even cried about it in all honesty, after all, Hiyoko is a bit of a cry baby on the sides, but don’t tell anyone or else she’s going to murder you without any hesitation. Mikan wasn’t casted at all though, so that’s a plus side for her and Mahiru assured her she’d be great anyway so that helps a lot too. You can be sure she’s also going to boast about it since, ye know, it’s Hiyoko.
Fuyuhiko: Razoul
Nope. No, fuck that, he’s not doing this, fuck you. Fuck everyone, fuck everything, he never was even planning to do the audition, please leave him alone he will not do this. Except for some reason he never really tells the stage director nor anyone responsible of the play about that. He just quietly broods in his corner whenever he’s not needed on stage instead of simply telling them he’s not interested, one could almost think he actually likes the idea of doing the play, but who knows...
Leon: Omar
Okay, let’s be honest here, he’s a bit disappointed and jealous, after all, he was aiming to be Aladdin. He tried to convince the stage director to recast him, give him a chance for a better audition, he isn’t even playing a main character, come on, this has to be a mistake. He also tries to change roles with Hiro but for some reason that doesn’t work, since Hiro is dead convinced it was by the spirits will that he had been given the role and not doing it would curse him in some way, though he totally would have changed if he could. So Leon just stays disappointed but he’s still kind of glad he got to at least be casted, this way he can showcase his musical talent to the world. He just has to be better than the others and this way, this way the director will be begging him to take the lead next time.
